The Clarksburg Farmers Market is set to return this Saturday, September 12th, bringing another morning of fresh produce, locally made goods, baked treats and food to the community.

The market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Tractor Supply parking lot and will take place rain or shine. Saturday’s market will feature a wide variety of local farmers, bakers, makers and food vendors, giving residents another opportunity to shop local while supporting small businesses and agricultural producers from throughout the area.

Betty Waddy, president of the Clarksburg Farmers Market, said she and the other organizers are looking forward to another busy weekend at the market.

“It’s more than a market, it’s our community, so come out and taste the local goodness straight from the source.”

Several farms are scheduled to participate, including Green Acres Farm, Richardson Farm, Mt. Hollow Farm, Shipley’s Farm, Goldenseal Garden Care, Vallonia Heritage Farms and Swisher Valley Farm. Those looking for something sweet or freshly baked will also have several options, with Once Upon A Thyme Bakery, Hazelwood Homestead Store and Kraving Krumbs scheduled to attend.

A large selection of local makers will also be on hand throughout the morning. Scheduled vendors include Sudsberry, 3K Kraft, Donald, Chain One Crafting, SG Scrub A Dubs, Marge’s Baskets, 304 Sharp Mountain Blades, Stitchin’ By The Lake, Sweetigourumi and The Warm Bean Coffee Co. The variety will give shoppers the chance to browse handmade goods, locally produced products, gifts and other unique items while meeting the people behind the businesses.

Visitors can also grab something to eat while they shop, as Blessed & Grounded and Pixie Sweets & Eats are scheduled to serve as Saturday’s food trucks.

The Clarksburg Farmers Market continues to provide an opportunity for local farmers, entrepreneurs, bakers and small businesses to connect directly with residents while offering the community a convenient way to support local.
