There will be plenty to see, hear and do at the Clarksburg Farmers Market this Saturday, with live music, food trucks, a children’s activity and community organizations all part of the morning’s lineup.

The market returns Saturday, August 22nd, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Tractor Supply parking lot, offering another opportunity for the community to shop local, find fresh food and produce and enjoy a morning together.

Live music will begin at 10 a.m. with Caleb Karriker, who will perform through 1 p.m. while visitors browse the market and check out everything happening throughout the morning.

Families with children will want to stop by the Sprout Spot, where bracelet making will be the featured activity. Kids will have the chance to get creative, design their own bracelet and take their creation home with them.

The Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library will also return as the market’s Community Spot, giving visitors an opportunity to connect with the library and learn more about the programs, services and resources it provides to the community.

Anyone arriving hungry will have options, too. Slush & Slice Co. and Blessed & Grounded are scheduled to be on site, adding food, drinks and refreshing treats to Saturday’s festivities.

Of course, local shopping remains at the heart of the Clarksburg Farmers Market. Visitors can browse fresh food and produce while supporting the local farmers, makers and vendors who help make the market possible each week.

Betty Waddy, president of the Clarksburg Farmers Market, said she and the other organizers are looking forward to the weekend.

“It’s a great way to buy fresh, local products while supporting the people in our community. We are excited for this Saturday and hope a lot of people attend.”

With live music, an activity for kids, local organizations, food and shopping all in one place, Saturday’s market is shaping up to be another easy way for families and friends to spend a summer morning in Clarksburg.

The Clarksburg Farmers Market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine, in the Tractor Supply parking lot.
