The City of Clarksburg hosted its First Annual Battle of the Badges Softball Game, and after an exciting and hard-fought matchup, the Clarksburg Police Department came away with the victory.

A special thank you to the Clarksburg Firefighters IAFF Local 89 for participating in a game that kept fans entertained from start to finish. Both departments represented the city with pride, sportsmanship, and plenty of friendly competition.

The event’s greatest success was the overwhelming community support. More than 200 residents attended, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and hometown spirit that helped make the evening truly memorable. The strong turnout showcased what makes Clarksburg special—neighbors coming together to enjoy a fun summer event.

The positive response made it clear that Battle of the Badges had earned a place as a new city tradition. Plans were already underway to make next year’s event even bigger and better.
